Global Stories for the Small Stage

Have you ever travelled the World, charmed a snake or ridden on an Elephant? John and Sally have and they invite you on their next adventure! Sail down to the Barbican Theatre during May Half term to watch Travellers’ Tales, Devon-based theatre duo Above Bounds latest artistic offering. Part of the second year of the Plymouth Fringe Festival, Travellers’ Tales is a children’s theatre show which will leave you with a smile on your face and a taste for adventure.
Above Bounds

Above Bounds Theatre Collective performed at the first ever Theatrefullstop Destination Eclectic Event last year before taking their piece Portrait to the Rooted Moon International Theatre Festival in Sardinia. Having returned from Italy, the pair have re-developed their piece Travellers’ Tales which they will perform at Fringe festivals in the South West this summer. Performer and Co-Founder George Boundy says ‘The Destination Eclectic event was a fantastic platform for us to get our work seen in London, as well as to meet other artists in the City. Events like this are such a valuable tool to have when creating work outside of London. We are so grateful to Theatrefullstop for their support.’
Travellers’ Tales features original music by Alice Brown and puppets hand-crafted by the team. Although this is their first performance at a theatre in Devon, Above Bounds have been creating work for children since 2014. In 2015, they were selected participants on the Worboys Productions Theatre Farm Retreat in 2015 working with top theatre producer Sam Worboys, whose latest work is on at the Polka Children’s Theatre in London.
