Diaspora Sounds announces major London show at Outernet with headline acts Sona, Mista Silva, Kwamz & Flava, Esdee YFS and Moelogo on Sunday 11th October 2026
Today, Diaspora Sounds, the boundary-pushing music and culture platform championing artists from the African and global Black diaspora, announces its biggest live show to date, set to take over at HERE at Outernet on Sunday 11 October 2026.
The upcoming London showcase will be headlined by Sona, Mista Silva, Kwamz & Flava, Esdee YFS, and Moelogo,bringing together some of the most exciting names shaping contemporary diaspora sounds. The night will also feature special guest appearances, continuing Diaspora Sounds tradition of surprise collaborations and high-impact moments.
Built on a mission to spotlight authentic, forward-thinking talent, Diaspora Sounds has quickly become a vital bridge between underground scenes and wider audiences creating spaces where music, culture and community intersect through live events, curated showcases and artist-led experiences.
The event follows a landmark debut show at Earth last year, which sold out well in advance, positioning Diaspora Sounds as the one-stop destination where fans can experience this roster of groundbreaking artists all under one roof. That debut night delivered standout performances and special guest appearances from Ms Banks, Zinoleesky and Rara, alongside TIMBO, with a defining highlight seeing all artists united under one roof, a powerful reflection of the platform’s commitment to collaboration, culture and community.
Diaspora Sounds will take place at HERE at Outernet, located within Outernet London in the heart of central London. Outernet has quickly established itself as one of the capital’s most innovative entertainment districts, fusing music, culture and cutting-edge digital technology. Making it the perfect backdrop for what promises to be a standout night and another defining moment further cementing the diaspora’s place at the forefront of the UK live music landscape.
MISTA SILVA
Mista Silva, born Papa Kwame Amponsa Yeboah on April 8, 1989, in London, England, is a Ghanaian musician recognised for his significant contributions to the Afrobeats genre. Growing up in Brockley, London, he has roots deeply connected to Ghana, which greatly influences his music style.
He released his debut EP, “Full Vim,” in 2012, which garnered considerable attention and led to a single deal with Polydor Records in 2014. His music, characterised by a blend of African rhythms and UK contemporary beats, includes popular tracks such as ”Boom Boom Tah” “Now Wats Up,” “Goes Down,” and “Bo won sem ma m3” .
Mista Silva has been a pioneering trailblazer in the Afrobeats scene in the UK, being the first unsigned UK Afrobeats artist to have his music playlisted by BBC 1Xtra & CapitalXtra. His influence extends beyond music; he has also made his mark in the fashion industry, having modeled for the renowned designer Ashish at LFW as well as being selected for Naomi Campbell’s Vogue Afrobeats Playlist.
Throughout his career, Mista Silva has won four awards and has been nominated three times for the MOBO Awards, reflecting his impact and recognition in the music industry . His contributions to African culture and Afrobeats in Britain have been acknowledged by the British Library, which featured him in their recent publication “500 Years of Black British Music,” highlighting his role in establishing these cultural elements within the British and diaspora communities .
Mista Silva continues to be an influential figure in the music world, with his performances at major events like Glastonbury and his music streamed 17+ million of times across various platforms. His dedication to his craft and cultural heritage positions him as a key figure in the ongoing evolution of Afrobeats music globally. The Guardian also listed Mista Silva as one of eight Afrobeats artist to listen to.
KWAMZ & FLAVA
Before the dynamic Afrobeats duo known Kwamz & Flava came to be, Kelvin Laryea and Jermaine Boateng began life in two very different corners of the world.
Born in Accra in 1991, Ghana, Laryea moved to the UK aged 6 months whilst Boateng was born and bred in London in 1991. Their paths eventually crossed at age 13 whilst attending secondary School, where the pair quickly went on to cement what would become a lifelong friendship.
However, it wasn’t until 2010 that 17 year-old Laryea and Boateng collaborated musically to create a comedic, lounge-in-cheek videophone recording of a song called “All Types of Bread”. The pair uploaded the video onto YouTube and promptly received an overwhelming influx of positive responses, and accumulated almost 300K views.
It was this unintentional foray into the limelight that led to the pair realising their passion for music and brining their brand of energy to create a positive atmosphere. It was at this point, that Afrobeats duo Kwamz & Flava was born. Hits such as “WO ONANE NO” & “TAKEOVER” just to name a few have received national and international recognition. Since then they have been nominated for the MOBO’s, 2x winners of Ghana Music Awards UK, have performed countless of shows internationally and within the U.K. including a sold out headline show firmly cementing themselves as a household name.
MOELOGO
Moelogo is a Nigerian-born, London-raised singer, songwriter, and performer widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the UK Afrobeats movement. Seamlessly blending Afrobeats with R&B, soul, and contemporary pop, Moelogo has built a sound that bridges Lagos and London, tradition and modernity, spirituality and rhythm.
Since emerging onto the scene, he has consistently delivered culturally resonant music that celebrates African identity while pushing sonic boundaries. His catalogue includes acclaimed projects and standout collaborations with leading artists across the UK and Africa, earning him recognition as a key voice in the global rise of Afrobeats. His music has received strong support across radio, streaming platforms, and live stages, solidifying his reputation as a dynamic live performer with an authentic and emotionally charged presence.
Beyond music releases, Moelogo has headlined shows, performed internationally, and built a loyal fanbase drawn to his vulnerability, cultural pride, and genre-blending artistry. His influence extends beyond the studio, contributing to the visibility and evolution of UK Afrobeats within the wider global music conversation.
Now entering a new era with his forthcoming debut album Yorùbá Healer, Moelogo is embracing a bold artistic vision rooted in Yoruba heritage, spirituality, and unapologetic African expression. The project marks both a personal and creative evolution – positioning him not just as an artist, but as a cultural storyteller shaping the next chapter of Afrobeats.
ESDEE YFS
Esdee YFS (Samuel “Esdee” Dada) is a UK-born Afrobeats artist of Nigerian heritage whose sound helped shape the early wave of the UK Afrobeats movement. As one half of the duo YFS, Esdee’s music has been a staple in the scene for over a decade, known for records like Come Closer, Ale, Da Dance and Way I Live that garnered strong support across playlists and independent radio.
YFS built a cult following through relentless releases and electrifying live energy, earning them recognition as pioneers of UK Afrobeats. Along the way, Esdee has worked alongside genre heavyweights such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, 2Kriss, Olamide, Sona, Moelogo and Kwamz & Flava, and has supported Wizkid on tour at the iconic Hammersmith Apollo while also performing internationally, including in Nigeria and at their own sold-out headline shows.
After the monumental success of Diaspora Sounds – The Reunion Concert, a sold-out celebration of 15 years of UK Afrobeats where EsDee and his duo Hakeem (Hakka HDH) performance stood among the likes of Moelogo, Mista Silva, Kwamz & Flava, Sona and others, he is stepping back into the scene with renewed creative energy and vision. Rooted in London yet deeply inspired by his Nigerian heritage, he continues to bridge continents, sounds and generations while carrying the pioneering spirit that helped define the movement. With momentum building once again, EsDee is set to release his first single of 2026 at the end of February, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter and reaffirming his place within the ever evolving story of UK Afrobeats.
SONA
Sona is a British-Nigerian Afrobeats and Afrofusion artist from South London. He began his music career in 2013 with the release of his debut single *Summertime*, and first gained underground recognition in 2014 with breakout tracks like Ijo Sona and No Wahala.
Over the years he’s become known for blending vibrant Afrobeats rhythms with smooth vocals and catchy hooks. Some of his notable hit records include Ijo Sona, No Wahala and Ginger the latter gaining significant traction and chart success in the UK.
Sona’s music has earned support from tastemakers across the Afrobeats scene and led to collaborations with artists like Sneakbo, while his continued releases have helped cement his place in the UK Afrobeats movement.
