Mike D 5D announces first ever European live dates

Mike D has announced his first ever run of Mike D 5 D European headline shows this June. He will play intimate, unconventional venues across the UK and Europe that feel entirely in keeping with the spirit of his recent, welcome return to music.

This week’s announcement follows Mike D’s two immediately sold-out shows in Los Angeles, at the Plaza Club & Dance Hall and Sid The Cat last week, which were “embodied with the punk energy that led to his band’s early breakthrough” according to Rolling Stone. The performances at off-the-radar venues signaled a deliberate step away from the obvious, and his European shows take the same approach, with dates across London, Berlin, Barcelona, Kortrijk and Sint-Niklaas, alongside festival appearances at Primavera Sound in Porto, Beyond The Pale in Wicklow and Beyond The Streets in Paris.

Mike D’s European live dates are as follows:
5th June: 26 Leake St, London, UK
6th June: 26 Leake St, London, UK
10th June: Saalchen, Berlin, Germany
13th June: Primavera Sound Festival, Porto, Portugal
14th June: Beyond The Pale Festival, Wicklow, Ireland
16th June: La 2 de Apolo Nitsa, Barcelona, Spain
18th June: Blender at Bolwerk, Kortrijk, Belgium
19th June: De Casino, Sint-Niklaas, Belgium
20th June: Beyond The Streets, Paris, France

Tickets for all headline shows go on sale Friday 15 May at 10am local time, and will be available from https://miked5d.com/.

Last week Mike D surprise-released his first new music since Beastie Boys’ final album ‘Hot Sauce Committee Part Two’. The single, ‘Switch Up’, was praised by the likes of NME who dubbed the single “infectious” and Billboard dubbed it “a heady mashup of U.K. jungle beats, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry-like sonic collage and digital hardcore attitude””.
