Live Odyssey, an immersive new music experience in Camden, is set to celebrate the sounds, culture, and heritage that have shaped British music. With state-of-the-art holographic performances from iconic artists, electrifying live shows, and newly announced exhibitions curated by Pop Nouveau, Live Odyssey is a must-visit for music lovers and culture enthusiasts alike.
A Journey Through British Music & Visual Art
Live Odyssey takes visitors on a two-and-a-half-hour musical adventure, capturing the evolution of British music. From the anthems of the 60s and 70s to the Britpop glory of the 90s and the defining sounds of today, each room will immerse guests in a different musical era.
Now, in partnership with Pop Nouveau, holder of one of the largest private collections of music art in the world, Live Odyssey expands beyond sound, exploring the visual artistry behind British music. These curated exhibitions will celebrate iconic album and single covers, and unseen artwork that have defined generations of artists. The exhibition space will feature a rotating collection of 3,500 original album and single cover artworks, live art installations, and exclusive prints for sale.
“Live Odyssey isn’t just a venue; it’s a journey through the rich history of British music,” said Gary Prosser, Creative Director of Live Odyssey. “By incorporating these extraordinary exhibitions, we’re showcasing not just the sound but the visual identity that has shaped music culture worldwide.”
Exhibition Highlights
A key standout of the exhibition will be the Lennon Wired Exhibition, created by renowned artist James Wilkinson. Each piece in the collection features intricate segments from microphone leads, which Wilkinson acquired from the sale of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Tittenhurst Park estate. This collection pays tribute to John Lennon’s artistic legacy and eclectic style.
“I’m overawed to know that these wires James has included in his work were part of the creative process that became the iconic song, Imagine. I am sure you will love it as much as I do.” Julia Baird (John Lennon’s sister)
Additional Pop Nouveau Exhibition Highlights include:
- The Tapes WE Left Behind – another striking collection by artist James Wilkinson. This showcase features art created from Master Tapes from some of the world’s most iconic musicians, including Queen, David Bowie, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Morrissey, Duran Duran, and many more.
- Future showcases – Upcoming planned exhibitions include original paintings of international British artist at grassroots venues to exploring the deep-rooted history of UK hip-hop culture.
Pop Nouveau Gallery, founded in 2020, has become a cornerstone of the UK art community, specialising in culturally significant music artwork. The gallery’s curator is the only artist officially appointed to the V Festival and has been invited on tour with world-famous acts such as The Rolling Stones and Oasis.
