21 Windmills, a 21st Century re-imagining of Don Quixote!

From 26th-28th September 2013, Bred In the Bone Theatre Company present a re-imagining of a Spanish literary classic, Don Quixote. Written by Miguel de Cervantes in the 17th Century, the influential text follows its protagonist’s attempts to restore peace and honour under the alter ego, Don Quixote. A forerunner for the modern day super hero, Don Quixote, accompanied by his trusty sidekick Sancho Panza attempt to protect the defenceless from an ever evolving chaotic world.

Brought forward into the 21st century, this modern day adaptation of Don Quixote will follow the protagonist’s pursuit to discover the value of friendships via the poetic verses of Shakespeare. With the theme of imagination versus reality at its forefront, 21 Windmills promises to be an exciting and unique performance combining live music, Shakespearean text and ensemble work. Consisting of award winning theatre makers from Europe, Mexico and Japan, Bred In The Bone Theatre Company aim to produce ambitious and compelling pieces of theatre inspired by the principle of ensemble. The company have gained success internationally, touring in Poland, Paris, Madrid, Reykjavik and Athens.

Performances are on the 26th, 27th and 28th of September at the Quadrangle, Shoreham, Kent.
