Today GRAMMY-winner and Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominated actress and musician Ariana Grande has officially announced her highly anticipated The Eternal Sunshine Tour set to hit arenas across North America and the UK next summer. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will feature multiple nights in every city, including massive four-night runs in Los Angeles and Brooklyn, and an impressive five-night residency at London’s O2 Arena. The tour launches in Oakland, CA at Oakland Arena, with additional stops in Austin, Chicago, Atlanta and more.

Sky Arts have announced the launch of 24-Hour Heroes - a striking new portrait series shining a light on the people who keep the UK’s arts world alive around the clock, ahead of the Sky Arts Awards at The Roundhouse, London, on 16th September.

The 24-Hour Heroes series celebrates 24 unsung arts workers – from stage managers unlocking doors at dawn to cleaners and book editors working into the night, revealing the huge range of roles that keep creativity thriving.

Writer and Director Guy Trevellyan talks about short film ‘Plastic Surgery’, winner of ‘Best Thriller’ at this year’s HollyShorts Film Festival

With Body Horror’s re-emergence on the world’s stage, thanks recently to Coralie Fargeat’s award winning cautionary tale The Substance as a cinematic niche not to be reckoned with, the subject of human biology is increasingly becoming the focus of our 21st century lives. Social media a prism heightening what it is to supposedly achieve ‘perfection’, and the intentional omission of the horrors that lay beneath this. Team this with the alarm bell being rung about the state of our planet, and we’re presented with insidious issues of microplastics and climate very gradually intruding on our way of life. Post this year’s HollyShorts Film Festival which took place between 7th to 17th August, writer and director Guy Trevellyan had his short Body Horror film Plastic Surgery Screened at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre. A metaphorical piece examining the way plastic pollution is infiltrating our health, Guy tells us more about what inspired him to produce the film, establishing his production company Nice Guy Pictures and what he’s learned from creating the film.

New Wolsey Theatre invites diverse artists and companies across East Anglia to apply for its Associate Artists programme

New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich has opened applications for a new round of its Associate Artists Programme in a bid to support local diverse talent across Ipswich, Suffolk and East Anglia.

The 18-month programme is part of the theatre’s commitment to investing in the creative ecology of the region, championing East Anglian voices and supporting sustainable, diverse careers in theatre and performance. From developing a new project, to scaling for the midscale stage to seeking support to secure funding, Associate Artists will receive bespoke mentorship to help them achieve their goals.

Recent Associate Artists include Mae Munuo who first worked with New Wolsey Theatre’s Chief Executive and Artistic Director Douglas Rintoul when he directed her in shows at New Wolsey Theatre and Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch. Mae started her journey with the New Wolsey Youth Theatre at 11 years old, moving to the (then) Young Company at 15. She left at 18 to start her degree in Acting with Collaborative and Devised Theatre at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, before embarking on a successful professional career as a theatremaker.

The Stage Debut Awards 2025 announce nominees and brand new host

The Stage Debut Awards in association with Netflix today announces the nominees for the industry’s most prestigious annual awards ceremony celebrating breakthrough talent in UK theatre. The winners will be revealed at a glittering awards ceremony at 8 Northumberland Avenue, London, on September 28, 2025.

The 46 nominations originate from UK shows staged in all four nations, marking this year’s awards as the most geographically representative to date. The eight categories shine a spotlight on individuals making their professional or West End debuts, and salute excellence in acting, directing, design, writing and musical composition. The SAG-AFTRA Foundation (@sagaftra) is releasing The SAG-AFTRA Foundation (@sagaftra) is releasing its Legacy Collection, a series of never-before-seen, long-form interviews recorded between 1979 and 2012 with legendary performing artists and industry luminaries. The collection was captured on a variety of physical media formats and digitized during the pandemic. It contains unique interviews with influential actors and pioneering performers, including David Carradine, Cyd Charisse, Henry Fonda, Kathleen Freeman, Tippi Hedren, Dennis Hopper, Jane Russell, and dozens more. @sadlers_wells and @breakinconvention present the Hip Hop Games on Stratford Waterfront in @queenelizabetholympicpark this summer ahead of Breaking’s inaugural appearance at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games (@olympics) and the opening of Sadler’s Wells East. On Saturday 3 August from 12-7pm, eight east London dancers will compete across two teams in a hip hop dance improvisation game with a series of different creative challenges in a free event for all the family.

The Hip Hop Games is a concept born in France in 2011 from dancer, choreographer and artistic director Romuald Brizolier and is the first concept that offers a hip hop dance improvisation game staged through various creative challenges. The Hip Hop Games has since toured internationally, bringing together dancers from across the world and gaining widespread recognition.  

To continue marking Breaking’s debut in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Sadler’s Wells and Breakin’ Convention are inviting visitors to watch the Breaking Olympic finals at free live watching parties on Friday 9 & Saturday 10 August. This will then be followed by a 45 minute Pilates workshop at 3:15, also on Instagram Live led by @sib_meienberg. The session is suitable for beginners, and we ask if possible, to make sure you have a yoga/exercise mat with you, and a bottle of water.
