Punchdrunk Enrichment has today announced that Peter Higgin will step down as Artistic Director and Joint CEO after 17 years leading the independent charity. Punchdrunk Enrichment was co-founded by Peter in 2008 to take the innovative practice of Punchdrunk into communities and schools, becoming the pioneer of immersive learning internationally.
Higgin was one of the original founders of immersive theatre company Punchdrunk in 2000, before going on to create the Enrichment practice, which continues to develop transformational theatrical experiences in community, family and education settings. Work includes installation projects for whole schools such as The Lost Lending Library which is now touring internationally as a family show, and the innovative productions Enitan’s Game, Small Wonders and Against Captain’s Orders at The National Maritime Museum. He has spearheaded the introduction of immersive learning in classrooms and schools around the world.
