Just over 10 years ago, actors Fraser Ayres (BBC’s Casulty, Waterloo Road) and Jimmy Akingbola (BBC’s REV, Holby City) founded a little known company, going by the name of TriForce Promotions. The aim was to create opportunities for performers to hone their craft, and to bridge the gap between industry professionals and aspiring actors. In 2009, Monologue Slam made its debut at a London venue, and ever since, has gone from strength to strength. Garnering the interests of industry professionals and actors alike, Monologue Slam is renowned for it’s impressive judging panels, varying from BBC casting directors to agents.
Minnie Crowe has been the Creative Director of TriForce Promotions for 5 years now, and has watched on as the company has only grown in its support and popularity. TriForce’s star is only set to shine brighter, as 2014 sees the company broadening their horizons to Los Angeles, where their successful Monologue Slam event will make it’s international debut. I was lucky enough to talk too Minnie ahead of Nov. 4th Monologue Slam event.
Many of you may recognise Chizzy Akudolu as Mo Effanga from the BBC’s BAFTA award winning drama, Holby City. A fun filled show , which will see Emma bring eight very different and amusing characters to life.
