Wandsworth Arts Fringe (WAF) is back from Fri 6 to Sun 22 June 2025 and Wandsworth Council is calling out for established and emerging artists to take part. Expressions of interest and applications for WAF Grants of up to £2,000 per project open today. The borough’s 2025 flagship festival of arts and culture will be the most ambitious yet, as Wandsworth has been chosen as The Mayor of London’s London Borough of Culture for 2025.

Every Summer, WAF brings together hundreds of creatives in a bold and boundary pushing annual line-up of cutting-edge theatre and dance, brand new music, exhibitions, comedy, performance art, outdoor extravaganzas and everything in between, taking place across the borough of Wandsworth. And this year it will be even grander as WAF becomes one of the highlights of our London Borough of Culture programme.

Jo Brand is headlining a stellar line-up of comedians at the Comedy Store next week to raise money for the Katie Piper Foundation.

Katie Piper OBE is hosting the evening on Tuesday 10th September at the Comedy Store in Leicester Square, London. As well as Jo Brand, the evening will also feature Andy Askins, Laura Smyth and Slim, with the incredibly talented Lee Peart acting as MC for the evening.

Katie Piper said: “This is the third year that we’ve held this fundraiser for the Katie Piper Foundation and I am so thrilled with this line up. Jo Brand is comedy royalty – I grew up loving her comedic style on TV and stand up and to have Slim, Andy and Laura as well as Lee Peart as our MC – it’s a night not to be missed!”

The music world looked to Munich this August, where the groundbreaking Adele residency hit all the right notes and set multiple records. Over 730,000 fans from all over the world came to see the unique artist as part of her series of ten open-air concerts. The concerts took place in the bespoke Arena at the Messe in Riem, which was tailor-made for her. More than two thirds of the visitors celebrated before and after the performances in the adjacent, first of its kind, Adele World with its diverse entertainment and catering offerings.

With over 730,000 tickets sold, the Adele shows registered the highest attendance of any concert residency outside Las Vegas.

The tour will commence on September 26^that the iconic Brighton Centre, traversing the UK and performing at some of the country’s most prestigious venues, including a flagship show at The London Palladium on October 14^th 2025. The Internationally acclaimed Björn Again show was created and founded in 1988 in Melbourne, by Australian musician/manager Rod Stephen. Since then, Björn Again has been hailed as the most successful tribute show of all time, and is the only ABBA tribute show globally to have been endorsed by the original members of ABBA.

On Ukranian Independence Day (24th August), a nation reels 2 years post Russia’s invasion on 24th February 2022. A political issue stemming from 8 years of unrest between Ukrainian Government forces and Russia backed separatists, the Ukraine seeks to defend what’s theirs. Born out of the current conflict that impacts over 30 million people, Alex Borovenskiy has gone on to found the first Ukraine Fringe Festival – a showcase of the country’s rich cultural landscape, highlighting work from the often underrepresented. Ahead of this year’s festival – from 30th August until 1st September, Alex tells us more about the festival’s motto – “Steel Standing”, curating a 2nd year of the festival in light of ongoing conflict and the significance of ProEnglish Theatre of Ukraine, one of the festival’s host venues.
