Celebrating its 20th year, West End LIVE returns on Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 June, with a packed line-up of top London shows. Hailed as ‘Glastonbury for theatre lovers’, West End LIVE is Europe’s largest free musical theatre festival and showcases outstanding performances from top West End musicals, live and free in Trafalgar Square.

Tens of thousands of theatre fans are expected to flock to the capital for this unique event, presented by Westminster City Council and the Society of London Theatre with support from the Mayor of London, partners and sponsors. West End LIVE attracts people of all ages into central London to experience the best of the West End – from the city’s unparalleled theatre and culture scene to food, drink, fashion, nightlife, retail and more, providing a major boost to Westminster’s local economy and supporting the creative industries.

The Music Industry Therapist Collective (MITC) has announced a new Online Tour Health and Welfare Coaching platform for artists, performers and touring professionals. The confidential new service offers short-notice expert-led coaching sessions designed to address the challenges touring musicians, performers and crew face while living and working on the road. Available 24/7, this is the latest initiative for MITC Soundcheck’s comprehensive mental health service for the live music industry.

High rates of anxiety, depression, insomnia and burnout are common among touring professionals, from artists and performers to production staff and promoters. Constant travel, financial instability, performance pressure, sleep disruption, lifestyle and cultural factors (such as use of alcohol as a coping mechanism), and a lack of consistent access to support all contribute to mounting stress and ill-health. As touring professionals face these significant challenges while lacking proper mental health support on the road, MITC have designed a brand new, one-of-a-kind online service that supports touring individuals during these trying times as they deal with time zone changes, lack of privacy, job insecurity, long work days and schedule changes.

Following a successful recruitment process, Swansea Building Society Arena today announces that Matt Blackhouse has been appointed as the arena’s new Venue Director and will assume the position from Monday 2 June 2025.

Blackhouse brings a wealth of experience in venue and live event management to the business, and coming from his role of Senior Events Project Manager at YTL Arena Bristol, has played a key role in the development of plans for the region’s new entertainment district. Blackhouse brings over twenty years of live entertainment experience to the role, and a strong understanding of the industry across South Wales, having previously held several key roles at Utilita Arena Cardiff, including Deputy General Manager and Senior Events Manager, as well as roles at Celtic Manor Resort and St David’s Hall, along with freelancing for Glastonbury Festival in recent years.
