Tickets to see three rare Magna Cartas at Durham Cathedral go on sale today

Tickets are now available to see the three rare Magna Cartas, at Durham Cathedral for the first time in eight years.

From 11 July to 2 November 2025, visitors will be able to see the rare documents as part of a new exhibition, Magna Carta and the North.

Tickets to see the exhibition, Magna Carta and the North in Durham Cathedral‘s Museum launched today, on the Heritage Fund’s Heritage Treasure Day, a day that celebrates heritage projects, venues and treasures.

Gina and Mazz Murray to host the 25th annual WhatsOnStage Awards

WhatsOnStage today announce that Gina and Mazz Murray will co-host the 25th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards in association with AudienceView – the only major theatre prize giving decided by the theatregoers themselves – on 9 February 2025 at The London Palladium.

Both have some major theatre credits to their names: Gina Murray‘s stage credits include Chicago, Fame, The Roy Orbison Story (all in the West End) as well as Hairspray on tour, while on screen she has appeared in The Hunt for Raoul Moat, and Sorted.

Meanwhile, Mazz Murray is currently portraying Donna Sheridan in the West End production of Mamma Mia!, with other West End credits including We Will Rock You, Chicago and Fame. Her television credits include EastEnders and The Quest.

Writer and Director Nebojsa Slijepcevic talks about Palme d’Or Winning short film ‘The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent’ which has recently been considered for an Oscar!

Over 30 years ago, Yugoslavia, which consisted of 6 republics – Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia crumbled, the rise of ethno nationalism disbanding the six nations gradually post 1991, with each republic gaining independence and devastation resulting in the loss of lives. Bosnia and Herzegovina the victims of ethnic cleansing impacting the Bosnian Muslim population. Drawing on this harrowing part of the nation’s history, writer and Director Nebojsa Slijepcevic presents The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent, a short film based aboard a passenger train in 1993, travelling from Belgrade to Bar when tragically intercepted by paramilitary forces in an ethnic cleansing operation. The film focusing particularly on a man who ‘could remain silent’ or speak up against the autrocity. Currently shortlisted as an Oscar contender, Nebojsa tells us more about exploring this subject matter further and what he’s learned from creating the film.

Award-winning musician Matt Goss announces dates for his brand new UK Tour for 2025

Phil McIntyre Live are thrilled to announce that The New King of Las Vegas and award-winning musician Matt Goss will embark upon a brand new tour for 2025.

Matt Goss: The Hits & More will be a celebration of all Matt has achieved in his music career and beyond. Kicking off in Plymouth on the 7th March, Matt will take in a further 20 dates including a night at the London Palladium before concluding the tour in Leeds on 28th April.

This tour will mark an eagerly anticipated return to the live UK music scene for Matt following his smash hit tour in 2023. Matt, who has performed in the States for an astounding 11 years initially headed to the Palms Casino for one year only. The show became an instant success and he subsequently performed the show at the iconic Caesars Palace for the remainder of his Vegas residency. Whilst in the US, Goss performed in world renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and Madison Square Garden and even officially hailed August 8th as Matt Goss Day in Las Vegas.

The collection was captured on a variety of physical media formats and digitized during the pandemic. It contains unique interviews with influential actors and pioneering performers, including David Carradine, Cyd Charisse, Henry Fonda, Kathleen Freeman, Tippi Hedren, Dennis Hopper, Jane Russell, and dozens more. @sadlers_wells and @breakinconvention present the Hip Hop Games on Stratford Waterfront in @queenelizabetholympicpark this summer ahead of Breaking’s inaugural appearance at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games (@olympics) and the opening of Sadler’s Wells East. On Saturday 3 August from 12-7pm, eight east London dancers will compete across two teams in a hip hop dance improvisation game with a series of different creative challenges in a free event for all the family.

The Hip Hop Games is a concept born in France in 2011 from dancer, choreographer and artistic director Romuald Brizolier and is the first concept that offers a hip hop dance improvisation game staged through various creative challenges. The Hip Hop Games has since toured internationally, bringing together dancers from across the world and gaining widespread recognition.  

To continue marking Breaking’s debut in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Sadler’s Wells and Breakin’ Convention are inviting visitors to watch the Breaking Olympic finals at free live watching parties on Friday 9 & Saturday 10 August. This will then be followed by a 45 minute Pilates workshop at 3:15, also on Instagram Live led by @sib_meienberg. The session is suitable for beginners, and we ask if possible, to make sure you have a yoga/exercise mat with you, and a bottle of water.
