The nominations for the Olivier Awards 2026 with Cunard, British theatre’s most prestigious honours, have been announced. The awards, which this year celebrate their 50^th anniversary, will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 12 April, showcasing the very best of London theatre in a star-studded ceremony hosted by Nick Mohammed.

In what has been another outstanding year on London’s stages, bold new writing has sat alongside revelatory revivals, large-scale spectacle and intimate studio work, reflecting the breadth and vitality of the UK’s world-leading theatre industry. International stars and homegrown talent alike have lit up our stages, while creatives have pushed boundaries with remarkable imagination and skill.

With 11 total nominations each, Into The Woods and Paddington The Musical are this year’s most-nominated shows. Three plays receive six nominations each: All My Sons, Kenrex, and Stereophonic.

Nick Mohammed will host the Olivier Awards 2026 with Cunard, celebrating 50 years of theatre’s biggest night. The star-studded ceremony, showcasing London’s world-leading theatre industry, will take place at the iconic Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 12 April.

Nick Mohammed is a double Emmy-nominated actor, comedian and writer whose work spans screen and stage. As Nate in Apple TV+’s multi-award-winning Ted Lasso, Nick starred opposite Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham, delivering a performance that earned him two Emmy nominations. His television credits also include leading roles in Deep Cover, Slow Horses and Intelligence – which he created, wrote and executive produced – alongside appearances across a wide range of British and international drama and comedy.

Last year, Nick reached the final of the BBC’s hit series Celebrity Traitors, the first episode of which became the biggest UK unscripted broadcast since 2022, attracting 11.7 million viewers. Alongside his screen success, Nick has built a strong reputation as a live performer, bringing his sharp writing and character-driven comedy to the West End and major theatres across the UK to widespread critical acclaim. He can currently be seen on stage in his live comedy tour Show Pony, which continues to draw rave reviews.

Multi-Grammy® and Academy Award® winner Jon Batiste today announced that he will bring his boundary-breaking artistry to KOKO in London for a special four-night residency of exhilarating, diverse and concept-driven performances from Wednesday, June 24, 2026, through Sunday, June 28, 2026. One of London’s last remaining independent performance venues is calling on the industry and the public to help secure its future.

On Monday 20 April 2026, a major West End Gala will take place at the Phoenix Theatre to raise £100,000 for The Phoenix Arts Club CIC (12774130), ensuring the continuation of one of central London’s most important homes for cabaret, musical theatre, comedy and queer performance.

Founded in 1988 and located beneath the Phoenix Theatre, The Phoenix Arts Club has, for nearly four decades, provided a meeting place and performance platform for theatre workers, creatives and audiences. Since taking over the venue 15 years ago from Soho character Maurice Huggett, Colin Savage and Ken Wright have transformed what was once a modest theatre bar into one of London’s busiest cabaret and variety spaces, presenting over 400 performances a year.

Chart-topping Canadian rapper, singer-songwriter and producer Nav announces his anticipated first European tour, OMW2 Europe. Presented by Live Nation, the tour kicks off Wednesday, April 29 in London, UK at O2 Academy Brixton before making stops in Paris, Cologne, Amsterdam and Berlin. The tour follows recent dates on the Travis Scott tour, Rolling Loud India, along with shows in  Tokyo, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangkok and Riyadh.
