It’s that time of year again. Time for family gatherings, office parties and too many mince pies! And what better way to celebrate than coming along The Christmas Wishlist at The Yard theatre?
This Christmas Theatre Royal Stratford East is giving a new twist to the classic tale of Robin Hood! Full of laughter, brand new songs and festive cheer Robin Hood tells the story of the prince of thieves on a mission! Join him and his merry band of men as they take from the rich to give to the poor whilst undertaking a quest to save good King Richard and the poor people of StratEastHam! Will they save the day? Or will the fearless Maid Marion get there first?
On 23rd July Theatrefullstop will be curating a night of theatre at The Yard from 8pm-10pm in the bar. Destination Eclectic has performers from an amazing array of disciplines – from Balinese Mask to Spoken Word! What better way to spend the evening than to travel the world, via Hackney, with performances ranging from the UK, Bali and Portugal! Doors open at 6pm and close at 12pm. So, come to The Yard and enjoy a fantastic evening of entertainment from some wonderful performers. There will be an entry fee of £3 and there will also be a raffle on the night (£1 for 5 tickets). Paines Plough are the theatre company dedicated to showcasing new writing. Since forming they have produced 130 productions and have toured far and wide across the country. Their latest show Lungs by Duncan MacMillian sees a couple running out of time to have the child they’ve always wanted as the world begins to breakdown around them – a truly tragic, modern love story.
The play is being performed at the company’s award winning pop-up venue the Roundabout at the Southbank Centre. The performance has already received 4 and 5 star reviews – so don’t miss out!
